Community Service Starts Now

As you may or may not have heard, our Community Service Committee has been working on the plans to build a handicap ramp for a local woman, Jenell Carmona, 38 years old, who was diagnosed with MS at the age of 17. She currently lives in the small in law suite behind her mother’s house in Croydon, PA. The only other person residing at the main house is Jenell’s mother, Miriam Carmona. She is 63 years old and it is getting harder for her to care for her daughter who is in a wheel chair. Miriam’s childhood sweetheart and husband passed away shortly after they bought the home in 2008.

Nick Kornea & the Community Service Committee has done a fantastic job at setting up a GoFundMe page, planning out the design, finding resources and acquiring the permits.

We are now looking for volunteers to help build the ramp.

Please email Nick at nickkornea@gmail.com or call him at 215-582-2219 if you're able to help on any of the days listed below.

Community Service Success!

WOW!  What an incredible turnout we had on July 16th as we helped Glenside resident Carol Civello.  An army of NARI and BNI members attacked the yard and multiple bedrooms resulting in mulched flower beds, pruned shrubs, and freshly painted walls.  NARI's teamwork, giving, and talents were all on display.  It's days like this that make us all proud to be NARI members.
